Getting sporadic audio streaming on audio-only channel

I’ve configured Streaming Engine to stream an audio-only conference call from FreeSWITCH. The inbound audio is G711, 8kbps over RTMP. I setup an audio-only transcoder, then use the RTMP test player to playback the audio.

What I’m getting is a sporadic blast of audio (~250 ms, I’d guess), then 4-5 seconds of silence, then another short blast of audio.

Should anybody run into this in the future, my problem was caused by a bug in FreeSWITCH:

Hi Dan, not sure you’ll get this, so many years afterwards… Did you use mod_rtmp on FS to get an audio-only conference out to Wowza?
