Retransmitted DVB Teletext page 888 subtitles

Hello there!
I’m having trouble relaying a stream with subtitles.
I send an mpegts stream to Wowza with the following content:
Stream #0:0[0x100]: Video: h264 (High 4:2:2) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv422p10le(progressive), 1024x576, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
Stream #0:1[0x101]: Audio: aac (LC) ([15][0][0][0] / 0x000F), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 139 kb/s
Stream #0:2[0x102](und): Subtitle: dvb_teletext ([6][0][0][0] / 0x0006), 492x250
Configured wowza to accept Embedded CEA-608 captions in live streams according to the documentation:
https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-ingest-mpeg-ts-dvb-teletext-subtitle-data-for-closed-captioning-in-live-streams
https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-configure-closed-captioning-for-live-streaming#ingesting-cea-608-captions

The following entries appear periodically in the log:

The subtitle language is RUS, but what is recognized and read is written in Latin in transliteration and this is no more than 5% of the actual subtitles and it is impossible to read them.

There is no subtitle stream at the output, only audio and video remain.

I tried to read the subtitle stream using ffmpeg, everything worked out, everything is converted and read in RUS in srt, webvtt, mov_text formats.

Please tell me how this stream can be retransmitted using the WOWZA Streaming Engine while preserving the subtitle stream, in one of the following formats:
mpegts over rtp/srt, mp4 over rtmp or another combination.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for posting @max_simba and sorry this is giving you issues. Because the forums are not an official source of technical support, the engineers can only review your configuration and logs through a support ticket.

It may not be any problem with your configuration though, that’s why we need the ticket. There was an issue not long ago where in some cases the DVB teletext subtitle information was missing from the MPEG-TS PMT. In such cases, Wowza was not able to read the subtitle information and was only able to access the information from the DVB Teletext first page.

This in particular is a more complicated workflow and rather than try to guess, we’d need to investigate and test it through tech support.

Thanks and you can submit a ticket here. I would mention ticket number 344030 when you are discussing this, so the engineers know to reference what I stated above.
