Streamlock DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_DATE_INVALID

The maintenance period has expired.

I was using Streamlock, I renewed it after the validity of the Streamlock, downloaded the certificate, overwritten it on the wowza server, restarted wowza, and the phrase “DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_DATE_INVALID” popped up. How can I fix it?

I’ve noticed that when you request renewal of your StreamLock cert, sometimes it takes a few minutes before the new cert is available, even though the Wowza website says that the cert has been renewed. On one occasion I even had to wait like 30 minutes.

So the first thing you can try is simply to repeat the process. Remember to restart Wowza on your server after you’ve updated the cert. I’m not 100% sure if that is required, but better safe than sorry. If it still doesn’t work, you can use the Java “keytool” command to analyze your new cert. I don’t know the exact parameters, but a quick google for “keytool jks expiry date” will likely help.

If the expiry date is wrong in the new cert, then best to contact support@wowza.com so they can investigate why the StreamLock website hands out an old cert.
