SubRip subtitles language support

Hello,

I am trying to use .srt closed captioning, I have enabled it from the manager panel.
On english subtitles they work fine on all players, but when using arabic language subtitle it shows only dots on all players, such as VLC and Apple safari player.

On wowza streaming engine manager I only have SubRip enabled. And I checked the subtitle file encoding it’s UTF-8, also forced the player to make subtitle encoding UTF-8, still same issue.

What is the solution for this?

To clarify more I may have realized the reason of the problem but still don’t know how to fix.

So the subtitles appear with a black background, even english subtitles. So that means the streaming engine is probably recognize it as VTT, how do I force it to read it as SRT?

Maybe thats the reason?
