Timecode on stream output

Hi,

New to Wowza.

My workflow is RTMP connect to Wowza and then playback via the DASH or HLS stream.

Is there a way to burn in timecode or apply a timecode source to playback of the DASH/HLS stream ?

Yes, you can embed timestamp metadata for HLS streams. The module described in that article will produce a ID3 tag that can be viewed by an HLS player and overlaid on the video images.This is the best way to go about it:

I am unsure on how to perform step 1 of the link attached.

Are you able to complete this step ? Unsure of how to create the .jar file and then not sure how to add it to the Wowza Streaming Engine live application.
