Wowza Streaming Engine Now Available on Microsoft Azure Marketplace

Consolidated billing and pay-as-you-go pricing enhances flexibility for Microsoft cloud-based applications

IBC 2016, AMSTERDAM – Sept. 10 2016 – Wowza Media Systems™, a leading software and cloud-based services provider that continuously simplifies the complexities of high-quality video and audio streaming for organizations worldwide, today announced that the Wowza Streaming Engine™ software is available directly through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Customers will be able to take advantage of pay-as-you-go hourly pricing, providing built-in elasticity to use computing resources as they are needed, through their existing Microsoft Azure account.

Microsoft Azure customers can quickly map a Wowza Streaming Engine virtual machine in just a few clicks. This will allow applications to easily implement features of the Wowza Streaming Engine software including, transcoding, transmuxing, security, live-streaming, on-the-fly VOD packaging, recording and DVR playback. This enables users to deliver video and audio to any device, anywhere in the world.
