Wowza Wins 2020 Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Award
For the 13th consecutive year, Wowza is proud to announce we have been awarded with a Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Award. Wowza Media Systems was the winner in the Live Streaming Software category and was also named runner-up in the Cloud Encoding/Transcoding Service category for Wowza Streaming Cloud.
“Streaming Media takes the pulse of the online video industry a few ways every year, including research reports and our expert-filled conferences, but our Readers’ Choice Awards give us the best insight into which products and services have found favor with the people who matter most—the technologists and engineers in the trenches,” says Streaming Media editor in chief and vice-president Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen. “If you want to know who’s leading the way from a technology standpoint, there’s no better indicator than these awards. Congratulations to the winners and finalists, the companies that are leading the way with technical innovation and a passion for making streaming video the best it can be.”
The 2020 Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards had a total of 2,200 voters in 26 categories and brought in over 25,000 votes. Wowza would like to give a huge “thank you” to all the loyal fans and customers alike who cast their ballots for us, especially during a challenging year. Wowza is also honored to be included in the 2020 Streaming Media 50: an annual list of the 50 companies that matter most in online video.
