Wowza Delivers Product Enhancements and Services Focused on Ensuring Customer Success

Wowza Showcases New SDKs, Product Features and Onboarding Program at NAB

Golden, CO — During the 2019 NAB Show, to be held April 6–11 in Las Vegas, Wowza Media Systems will be showcasing new services and product updates aimed at enabling customer success. Representatives will be exhibiting these at the Wowza booth (SU7114), as well as the Wowza pods in the Microsoft booth (SL6716) and Google Partner Pavilion (SU218).

The Wowza Streaming CloudTM service is launching client SDKs in JavaTM and Ruby on RailsTM. To support developer success and decrease development time, these SDKs allow direct language access to Wowza Streaming Cloud controls, domain-specific communications and improved performance.

Wowza will also be demonstrating a prototype interactive mobile app with live video at NAB called TriviaWOW. The app and sample codebase are freely available in the App Store and Google Play to help users integrate video into real-time interactive apps requiring synced metadata. The codebase can be used in conjunction with Wowza Streaming Cloud to develop a proof of concept or as a starting point for a commercial-grade application. Trivia events will take place during NAB at 10:45 a.m., 1:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. (PT) daily.

In response to customer feedback, Wowza will be demoing updates to the Wowza ClearCasterTM appliance at the studio in their booth (SU7114). The new ClearCaster Universal Mode supports broadcast-quality streaming to any destination, allowing event producers to reliably power their encoding workflows with advanced monitoring, encoding presets for popular streaming destinations, cloud-based workflow management and adaptive network encoding. Additionally, ClearCaster can be integrated into Wowza Streaming Cloud and Wowza Streaming EngineTM software workflows for support and monitoring from encode to distribution.

For new Wowza customers, the Wowza Onboarding Program is now available as a fee-based service to accelerate time to value when implementing Wowza products and services. The tailored service includes quick identification of the proper architecture and technology for each customer’s use case.

Finally, Wowza is introducing the Wowza Developer Bar at NAB, where attendees can discuss their streaming challenges with a subject-matter expert. To schedule an appointment or learn about these updates during the show, please visit https://www.wowza.com/blog/nab-show-2019.
