With Wowza Streaming 4.5.0 and later, an HTTP Provider can be used to host WebSocket sessions. HTTP Providers are Java classes that are configured on a per-virtual host basis. They are intended to be light-weight web applications that can be used to send information to or obtain information from your Wowza media server instance.
