How to enable double rate deinterlacing in Wowza Transcoder

Double-rate deinterlacing uses the individual interlaced fields to create frames at twice the original frame rate of the video. The advantage is that for high motion video, such as sports, motion is more fluid. The disadvantage is that the quality of each frame can be a bit lower.

Note: This feature is in Wowza Streaming Engine™ 4.0.6.02 and later.
To turn on double-rate deinterlacing, add the following parameter to the Decode/Video/Parameter section of your transcoder template:
<Parameter>
	<Name>deinterlaceDoubleRate</Name>
	<Value>1</Value>
	<Type>Long</Type>
</Parameter>
When enabled you will see the following log statement indicating that double rate deinterlacing is enabled:
TranscoderWorkerVideoDecoder.init[streamname]: Double rate deinterlacing is enabled for this incoming stream.
